MST (Materials-Science-Technology) is a research-driven initiative specializing in advanced materials science and interdisciplinary innovation.

With strong roots in both academic research and applied science, MST actively participates in national and European-funded research programs, including Horizon Europe and other initiatives in Greece and abroad.

The core expertise of MST spans a wide spectrum of materials-related fields, including:

  • Nanobiomaterials and Nanotechnology

  • Protein Biotechnology and Physicochemistry

  • Theoretical and Computational Chemistry

  • Materials Modeling and Drug Design

  • Cheminformatics and Predictive Nanotoxicology

  • Machine Learning and Data Science for Materials Research

MST is led by a PhD-level researcher in Theoretical Chemistry and Drug Design (University of Crete), with postdoctoral specialization in Artificial Intelligence (National Technical University of Athens).

Through collaborations with academic institutions, research centers, and industry partners, MST contributes to cutting-edge projects at the intersection of materials science, health, and emerging technologies.

By combining computational expertise with experimental insight, MST delivers research outcomes that support innovation in areas such as sustainable materials, nanomedicine, and risk assessment of advanced materials.

Partners

Establishing strong connections between academic institutions and industry is critical for advancing collaboration, driving innovation, and stimulating economic growth. Such partnerships create a dynamic exchange of knowledge, cutting-edge research, and technical expertise, which can be translated into real-world applications and commercial solutions.

Beyond facilitating technology transfer, academic institutions also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the industry by educating and training the next generation of scientists, engineers, and researchers. These institutions are fundamental in equipping emerging professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to address the complex challenges of tomorrow.

Below are some of the key academic partners and research foundations with whom MST has successfully collaborated, driving forward meaningful advancements in chemical engineering and related fields.
